Singapore government will have to consider biodiversity issues when they are making decisions and policies. When dealing with issues regarding conservation of our natural environment, an integrated approach must be adopted. To do this, the government must:
1. Adjust existing administrative processes so that considerations for the biodiversity conservation is accounted for.
One example was having Integrated Coastal Management, where members from different agencies , that has involvement in the marine environment, are able to set up a committee to address the issues they faced altogether
2. Enhance biodiversity assessment capabilities.
3. Strengthen the current processes on access and benefit sharing,
to ensure that biodiversity conservation is considered when granting
access to Singapore’s natural genetic resources
