Perhaps the two greatest threat to the slow lorises are deforestation and the wildlife trade, which includes the exotic pet trade, traditional medicine and less commonly, bush meat. These threats themselves lead to a host of other problems such as health complications and habitat fragmentation that combined greatly endangers the primates’ survival.
