• Habitat Destruction
  Most of the habitats are being destroyed because of agricultural purposes and the poachers have worsened this destruction.

Conservation Measures:

• National Elephant Institute (NEI) has been set up to work closely with National Parks Department to help protect the remaining elephants and their habitats (Elephants in Thailand, n.d.).
