(RE)CONNECTIONS 1

This studio project explores the possibility of a connection – material and imagined – across space and time.

STudent ProPOSALS

The studio was participated by 27 undergraduates of Nanyang Technological University Singapore from various disciplines including Sociology, Public Policy & Global Affairs, Psychology, Business, Environmental Science, Sports Science, Maritime Studies and Biological Sciences. In teams of four to five people, the students worked on the studio project for five weeks between March and April 2019, as part of the course in Urban Life and Urban Planning (HU2002). With the help of five student volunteers from the course and our librarian, Bella Ratmelia,  we have set up this website to curate and share the proposals.

On our class field trip in Jurong Eco-Garden with landscape architect Huei-Lyn Liu to understand how to design spaces that are ecologically sound and aesthetically welcoming. March 28 2019

Bloom Trail

Our team proposes to have a 24-hour connection between the historic arch and NTU campus that is fully functional during the day and at night. This will serve to revitalise the link between the school and arch.
