Copyright in articles produced by LD&C is held by authors so, in principle, they are free to place copies of their articles in their institutional repository. However, since LD&C has made a commitment to housing articles in a repository with handles for persistent identification we would prefer that your repository cite the reference, but point to the version in the LD&C collection.
All items produced by LD&C have handles for persistent identification and are stored in a DSpace repository that the University of Hawaii Library claims will be permanently available.
DR-NTU is willing to sipport the OA model, provide links to the collection in repository instead of the final PDF.
