Launched in 2006, Everystockphoto is an image search engine that “index and search millions of freely licensed photos“. Users can search for millions of images and filter by different types of licenses: Free Licenses, Public Domain or Creative Commons. The platform also provides an advanced search option that allows users to search by tags, shapes, resolution or sizes.

Everystockphoto do not own or store any of the images. Although they provides information as to the license of each image, but the information was accurate only at the point of indexing. Users are required to visit the hosting site of the image to check on the license. Image under Creative Commons can be cited by including the creator name, image title and any changes made.
