College of Science Career Talk 2023
NTU College of Science held its annual Career Talk on 28 January 2023. Ever since the event’s introduction back in 2020, the Career Talks were only held virtually. However, 2023 was the first time it was run as a hybrid event – both physical and virtual audience were present!
Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award 2022 Recipient: Sandhya Sriram (SBS)
Dr Sandhya Sriram graduated from NTU School of Biological Sciences (SBS) in 2013 with a Ph.D. in Research. She is now the Group CEO and Co-founder of Shiok Meats, the first cultivated crustacean company in the world and the first cultivated seafood and meat company in Southeast Asia. Congratulations!
Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award 2022 Recipient: Ku Chee Wai (SBS)
Dr Ku Chee Wai, one of the proud and deserving recipients of the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award this year, graduated from NTU School of Biological Sciences (SBS) in 2009 with a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Accelerated). He is now an Associate Consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and is also pursuing a PhD in Clinical And Translational Sciences with Duke-NUS Medical School.
NTU Alumni Homecoming 2022
The College of Science welcomed back its generations of alumni and their families during the NTU Alumni Homecoming 2022 on 15 October 2022. Faculty and volunteers organised a series of classroom demonstrations and activities for alumni and their families to learn about the latest discoveries by the College of Science and the impact that science has on their everyday lives.
More Fun & Helpful Activities with the SBS Alumni Association
Driven to bring the SBS alumni community together, the newly elected AA committee has successfully recruited more members on board the AA, who will be helping in 3 different pillars – Events, Business Development and Publicity & Publications consisting of 3 Chief Exco & 10 Exco members. We can look forward to see more fun and helpful events for alumni and students that involve collaborations with the Career Advancement Office, Biological Sciences Undergraduate Club (BS Club) and the Biology Graduate Students Club (BGSC).
