Responsibilities:
• Source and select Tamil materials both print, non-print, e-print and digital materials on all subject areas for the existing and developing libraries
• Review selection policies and maintain core lists
• Monitor commitment and expenditure
• Work with local vendors on materials supply and manage vendors’ performance
• Cultivate book knowledge and book-market awareness
• Carry out original cataloguing and meta-tagging according to required cataloging standards and practices
• Manage storage and distribution of materials to service points
• Train and manage staff
• Assist in annual budgeting

Requirements:
• Master of Science in Information Studies with 2 to 5 years of working experience
• Library administrative skills
• Skills in interpreting user/clients information needs
• Good communication skills (writing and speaking)
• Good command of English and Tamil (writing and speaking)
