BIOGRAPHY
SINCE AUGUST 2021, PAULO BARTOLO IS PROFESSOR AT THE SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AT NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE SINGAPORE CENTRE FOR 3D PRINTING.

In February 2014 he joined the University of Manchester (UK) as Chair Professor on Advanced Manufacturing. At the University of Manchester, Paulo Bartolo was the Head of the Manufacturing Group, Leader of the Innovative Manufacturing Research Theme, Member of the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering Executive Committee and Member of the Departmental Committee for the Research Excellence Framework 2021 (REF21) Engineering Unit of Assessment 12 (UOA 12). He was also member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Committee (2014-2017) and member of the Promotion Committee (2014-2017). At the University of Manchester he was also the Industry 4.0 Academic Lead; member of the Advanced Manufacturing Strategic Oversight Group; member of the Management Board of the EPSRC & MRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Regenerative Medicine; theme leader of the “Industry 4.0” Societal Challenge area within the Digital Futures; and member of the Thomas Ashton Institute (Academic Lead for Industry 4.0 – implications for health and safety). Read more

BIOGRAPHY
ASST/PROF YEONG RECEIVED HER BENG( 1ST CLASS HONS) AND PHD DEGREES IN MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING FROM THE NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY. PRIOR TO JOINING MAE IN 2013, SHE HAS WORKED IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AT SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, WITH KEY FOCUS IN MEDICAL DEVICE INDUSTRY.

She has worked as a Research Engineer in SIMTech Singapore, Associate Research Scientist at Abbott Vascular, Research Fellow at MSE NTU, and Principal Engineer at Alcon Singapore. Her main research interest is in 3D printing, bioprinting and the translational of the advanced technologies for industrial applications. Her current research topics include 3D printing of new materials, hybrid electronic-mechanical structures and bioprinting for tissue engineering. Read more

BIOGRAPHY

Prof Moon received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2008, his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 1995 and 1992, respectively. He worked as a Senior Research Engineer at the Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea for eight years before embarking on his PhD degree. After completing his doctoral degree, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Texas A&M University for one year as a postdoctoral research associate. Prior to joining MAE, he served as a Research Associate of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University between October 2009 and March 2011. Read more
