It has been shown that people are inaccurate in assessing risk most of the time. Next to that, the images people have about risk and in this case floods and thus global warming (considering that global warming increases the risk of floods), largely come from media. The more media talks about global warming, the more people are concerned about this. But, there are some biases in this processing of information.
