William’s story can be found in his autobiography ‘The Boy who Harnessed the Wind’, a New York Times bestseller which he wrote with his best friend Bryan Mealer. His story has also been adapted into a film under the same name, directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor who was inspired by William’s story and chose it to be his feature debut as a writer and director. In 2013, William was part of TIME’s 30 under 30 list, an accurate reflection of his impact on the world.
