As mentioned in the video, Singapore is left with only 1% of farm. Due to increasing population and demand, Singapore has an increasing demand for more houses, proper road and railway system. All these prioritize over farms and greens as prudent usage of land help Singapore in term of economic growth, social cohesion and future development. However, the Singapore government is aware about the importance in conservation and they implemented numerous conservation efforts like new nature way and ecolink to name a few.

As quoted from our Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore is determined to keep its green lungs and natural spaces as the city develop even though it cannot preserve every single green area. Hence, despite clearing farms and green for industrial use, Singapore is still making effort in creating and realizing the “City in a Garden” vision. Human still see the importance and indispensible role of nature in our life and making effort to preserve it.

Another respond to nature we observed that is done by our government is the Ecolink @ BKE. It is heartening to see that people still see the importance of our wildlife flora fauna.

All in all, despite economic concern in Singapore, we still see sufficient positive human behavior in nature.
