Hello! My name is Kah Shun and I am currently a Year 2 Psychology undergraduate in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This blog was created for my HP3202 Conservation Psychology blog project and also to allow you (the readers) to know more about how urban parks play an important role in conservation. In my free time, I really love to cycle from my house, along the park connector beside Marina Bay Golf Course, through Marina Barrage and to Gardens by the bay. Sometimes, I cycle alone but most of the time, with my best friends. Sunday mornings like that are the best for me. In Gardens by the Bay, the intriguingly beautiful fusion of both natural and artificial features to create super trees never ceased to amaze me. This is probably why you will find some of the pictures in this blog to be taken by me during my trips to Gardens by the bay and other parks. Although I have been to Gardens by the Bay many times, I have only visited the domes once. So far, I have visited many parks in Singapore like Fort Canning Park, walked along more than half of Southern Ridges (even got lost there until night time!), East Coast Park (Many times because it’s near my house. I like to cycle from ECP to Changi and back and sometimes, watching sunset.), several neighbourhood parks like Pasir Ris Park and several nature reserves in Singapore. This is possibly what inspired me to create this blog about urban parks in Singapore.
