Japan Night

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, the NTU-MBA Social & Cultural Club and Wine, Liquor, & Beer Appreciation Club hosted “Japan Night”, inviting the cohort, staff, and professors together for an evening of sushi, sake, and cross-cultural learning!

The timing of the event couldn’t have been more perfect, as 28 members of the cohort and several staff were preparing to leave for the annual Business Study Mission in Tokyo, Japan that very weekend. To help them on their way, the club co-chairs and students from Japan gave presentations on Japanese business culture, Tokyo sightseeing, and “after five” drinking culture, and organized a sushi dinner, sake tasting, and games!

She danced for us, played the hayashi (Japanese flute), and even taught some in our group how to do a Japanese dance. Minami is a graduate of Waseda University, which partners with NTU for a double degree MBA program. We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to her for coming to spend an evening with us.

We look forward to the next club events and wish the Tokyo Business Study Mission participants the best while they are in Japan! Ganbatte kudasai!
