About Us

The Power Electronics and Applications Research Laboratory (PEARL@NTU) is a research group at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore under the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). The group works in strong collaboration with Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS), RR@NTU (Rolls-Royce NTU Corporate Lab), ERI@N (Energy Research Institute @ NTU). Key areas of research are the design and control of advanced power electronics converters for the application in future grid integration, standalone systems such as more electric aircraft, marine vessels, etc. , Renewable integration to the grid, STATCOM systems, protection systems for future DC and hybrid AC/DC schemes. PEARL@NTU has always encouraged and actively participated in collaborations with industry and top tier universities.

IECON 2020

The 46th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) 2020 will be held during October 18-21, 2020, at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. The Conference is co-organized by IEEE Industrial Electronics Society IEEE Industrial Electronics Chapter of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.
