In week 5, our first parts arrived in the form of a drone kit. Thus, we built our first prototype, nicknamed TRENT, and flew it.
Unfortunately, TRENT was too unstable and was unable to generate enough thrust to lift the payload of 500g we desired. The prototype also suffered from assembly problems and issues with the structural integrity of the frame and was rather far from the final product that we desired.
In the end, it was decided that TRENT should be scrapped so that the parts can be used for future prototypes.
