This timeline is applicable for eligible ADM Year 3 students (starting August 2025) who will be joining Year 4 in August 2026, do note that you must undergo a compulsory 10-week internship at the end of third year, during AY25/26 Special Term.
Semester 1 – August- November 2025 (Only for eligible ADM Year 3 students)
Internship registration briefing – 24 July 2025, 10am on MS Teams
- Refer to email sent by CAO_ADM on 29 July 2025 for briefing recording link.
Health & Safety quiz – (NOTE: completion required for InPlace access)
- Refer to email sent by CAO_ADM@ntu.edu.sg 0n 04 August 2025 for more details.
- Attend the online safety training “Safety Guide for Students on Attachment/Internship Programme” via NTULearn (please use Google Chrome) and pass as soon as possible. Please view in this link Safety-Quiz-Audiovisual-Guide for step-by-step assistance.
- Students who had previously completed and passed the “OHS-IA Safety Guide for students on Attachment/Internship Programme” via NTULearn are not required to retake the quiz.
InPlace registration – registration OPEN, (NOTE: registration required for self-source application)
- Register for your interest to participate in the period of internship in IMS-InPlace at https://inplace.ntu.edu.sg

Internship opportunity selection by students on InPlace – ROUND ONE 04 August 2025 to 13 December 2025
- Proceed to participate in the online selection in InPlace: https://inplace.ntu.edu.sg (best viewed in Chrome).
- The login access to InPlace is the same as your usual student login access to NTULearn. Clear your cache browser or restart your PC if you are unable to access InPlace. There is no need to email to request for new user ID or reset password.
- If you have not registered, please indicate your internship registration period in InPlace under “Your Account” > “My Details” (located at the top right-hand corner upon logging in) > AY25/26 Special Term
- Refer Students Guide-Steps on Selecting Internship Programmes on the detailed instructions on how to make your selection and complete the mandatory declaration.
- Please take note that you are ONLY allowed to select a maximum of 20 choices.(Please note that new internship and job opportunities are being continually posted by employers. While we encourage you to explore all available options, there is no obligation to apply to all 20 at this time. We recommend focusing on roles that align with your specific interests and career goals. Continue to check InPlace for available opportunities.)
- Make unique choices. You are NOT ALLOWED to choose the same organisation more than once if the organisation is offering two or more programmes.
- You will need to upload your own cover letter (optional) and resume (compulsory) in one PDF file, together with other documents required, for each of the organisation when you are doing your selection.
- Read the pre-requisites (if any), reflected in the “Application Requirements” section before uploading your resume.
Self-Source – 04 August 2025 to 24 April 2026
- Students can start self sourcing internships now.
- Do note that for self-sourcing, if the opportunity from the same organisation is already on InPlace, please apply from InPlace instead. Also, do note that if you also applied through InPlace, you can only accept one internship offer. Please refer to the CAO Explore Internships page to learn about the self-source application procedure.
- It would be ideal if you are able to secure a placement by the end of 2025 or by end February 2026.
- If the self-source company makes you an offer and you accept, please get them to fill in the self-source form (see information below to download) and submit to the InPlace portal. Do note that registration on the InPlace portal is required.
- Self-source application form: To download the self-source application form, refer to the email sent by CAO_ADM on 04 August 2025.
- Please get in touch with CAO_ADM@ntu.edu.sg for further clarification if needed. Please note that all self-sourced internship must be endorsed by CAO and ADM before proceeding. Self-source internship that are not endorsed or approved will not be qualified for credits even if you had completed the internship on your own.
Pre Semester 2 & Semester 2 – January 2026 to End July 2026

Self-Source – 04 August 2025 to 24 April 2026
- Students can continue self sourcing internships along with applying on InPlace.
- You may source for an internship opportunity that you have in mind that is not already available on InPlace. If the opportunity from the same organisation is already on InPlace, please apply from InPlace instead. Internship programme starts –11 May 2026
- The internship programme begins for both students and companies. Students to submit 3 reflective e-journals as required on InPlace (submitted by end of week 3,6 and 8), to be assessed by your ADM Faculty supervisor.
Internship programme ends-17 July 2026
- Internship programme ends (10 weeks)
- Internships can be extended till end of July on a non-official basis, subject to acceptance by company and student.
