For those who are looking to self-source their internship, do not miss the NTU Career Fair 2015 organised by the Career and Attachment Office (CAO) on:

Although most companies are looking to recruit soon-to-be graduates, it is a potential ground to check for internship opportunities too! There have been a good number of pro-active students in the past who have managed to score an internship placement by attending the fair and having a chat with the organization representatives.
2014 Internship Briefing: Jackson Tan and Clarence Ng talks about Design and Internship
On the 12th November 2014, ADM had its annual internship briefing for all Year 3 students who are thinking of taking on the ADM internship between May – July. Jackson Tan from Black Design was specially invited to talk to the students on the benefits of taking on an internship for career building. Our very own ADM Interactive Media student Clarence Ng also gave a show-and-tell session of his internship experience. The NTU Career and Attachment office (CAO) representatives were also present to go through the internship application procedure with the students! Interview with: Cheong Tong Pei
Tong Pei, a visual communication student interned with the Lo and Behold Group for 10 weeks under the 2014 ADM internship programme. Tong Pei self-sourced his own internship placement and was awarded 6AU upon successful completion of the programme.
He will be sharing with everyone his experiences on the 30th of January 2014, 12 noon @ the Library Cinema Room. Do come by and listen to what Tong Pei have to say, especially for those who are looking to self-source their own placement. He will be there to answer questions and provide useful advice!

What first got you interested in the ADM internship programme?
The best part about ADM internship is the amount of AUs you can clear during your holidays. By clearing that 6AUs, it would make your 4th year more relaxing and be able to concentrate on your FYP.

Tong Pei self-sourced his own internship placement with the Lo and Behold Group which owns restaurants and bars such as The Tanjong Beach Club, Loof Bar, Overeasy and The White Rabbit. He spent 10 weeks with the design and marketing department on his internship stint and will be sharing with everyone from how he scored an internship placement with the Group to what he was tasked to design and work on during the placement. Come by and seek some first-hand valuable advise from someone who has been through the internship programme.

A short briefing of the application procedure online and the different types of internship routes one can take up. An overview of the companies who are already enlisted onto the ADM database will also be shared. These are companies that have already expressed interest in providing placement opportunities with our ADM students.
12:45pm – 1pm:
Informal mingling session
For those who are too shy to ask questions, this will be a good time for you to mingle informally with us and clarify any questions that you may have on the internship programme.
Interview with: Clarence Ng Chuan Swee
Clarence, an interactive media student interned with the organization Up and Up for 10 weeks under the 2014 ADM internship programme. Clarence was placed with the organization Up and Up by making use of the ADM database of companies. All companies under this ADM database are companies who are already looking and eager to provide internship experiences to our ADM students !
Clarence shared his internship experiences with everyone on the 12th November 2014, together with Jackson from Black Design. Students got some useful tips and advice from him at the talk from what to prepare at the interview to how to conduct yourself throughout the 10 weeks of internship !
Clarence was awarded 6AU upon successful completion of his 10 weeks internship.

What first got you interested in the ADM internship programme?
The opportunity of being able to learn new things beyond what can be learnt in a classroom setting thrilled me. I wanted to test my creativity and see if I could perform well if I entered the advertising and marketing industry.
