Founded in 2018 and integrating environmental sustainability with social causes, Sharetings aims to drive a sharing economy and the habit of re-use/re-purposing through the giving/donation of pre-loved items to the community. Spun off from a social initiative, Sharetings is an on-going community-based mobile application that facilitates the giving and receiving of unwanted, usable items, to maximize their use and value and to reduce waste in Singapore.

The team believes that small actions can lead to big change, and everyone can build a sustainable future where resources are shared and not thrown away

The inspiration behind Sharetings came from the prodigious waste that many of us produce. There is a lack of digital initiatives to reduce waste and this is where Sharetings is uniquely positioned to solve this issue.

The team has also garnered media attention from The Straits Times, Vulcan Post and CNA 938.
