Singapore has 4 nature reserves, namely, the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Central Catchment, Bukit Timah and Labrador Nature Reserves. These nature reserves are a haven for aquatic and terrestrial wildlife such as macaques, pangolin, monitor lizards and tropical flora. Therefore, they are protected areas for the conservation of Singapore’s biodiversity.
Central Catchment nature reserve which is also known MacRitchie is a beautiful place to admire nature and escape from the urban city. One of the popular attraction at MacRitchie is the Treetop Walk which is a 250-metre suspension bridge that rises above the rainforest. I have been there twice, and I agree that I get to see a magnificent view of the forest’s canopy.
