Collaboration between Countries
In the future, different countries can come together to work towards protecting the shark population. Specifically, having the countries with higher socioeconomic status to be paired with countries with lower socioeconomic status. By having these countries to collaborate and work together, countries with higher socioeconomic status can help countries with lower socioeconomic status in terms of cost funding for their regulation and law enforcement efforts. This can solve the challenge that some of the countries are facing when conserving sharks.
Need for Clear Communication
Besides providing funding, clear communication of research or implementation results can also help to encourage better conservation efforts. By right, communication should be made to those involve in the conservation management which includes other scientists, managers, conservation groups, industry groups and the public. However, communication are only made to individual researchers and research funders. With better communication in place, it will reduce the amount of time needed to look for suitable information for conservation management and also enhancing research coordination. At the same time, the public will also be more willing to put in more effort, knowing that their efforts do pay off well. Without clear communication, conservation management will take place less efficiently and it will slow down the process of shark population recovery.
