The media is known to cover and hype those issues that are outside of the normative, as this what helps gain attention of the people. But an issue like climate change needs consistent coverage, as the climate is changing gradually and not instantly. This is one of the key reasons why some people do not even believe that global warming is happening. Also sometimes scientific findings may be incongruent with the news values that the media has, this will again lead to inconsistent information being disseminated to the people. Another problem that media information faces is that of the inability to have all the information, due to the restrain on their resources. This again is a hindrance in shaping the right attitudes in people.
