An incomplete picture

This survey results gives us an overall positive picture of Singaporean’s attitudes towards climate change. But Eugene Tan director of Green Future Solutions, feels that these results need to be taken with a pinch of salt and not as the gospel truth. He feels that Singaporean’s positive attitudes are only limited to the awareness and knowledge of the problem at hand, it does not convert to actual behaviour. He further adds that people tend to fall prey to social desirability factor during surveys and may not report their actual actions, and hence the results we see may not be a true reflection of people’s attitudes and behaviours.
