Research Topic: Effects of Atmosphere-Ocean-Wave coupling during Tropical Cyclones for applications towards Offshore structures/ turbines
Research Summary: In offshore conditions, presence of ocean waves and their influence on atmospheric boundary layer will have significant impact on wind and wave assessment and prediction. This study through a coupled atmosphere-ocean –wave model will investigate the role of various surface layer parameterization schemes in modulating or affecting the structure of tropical cyclones.
