World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) is a non-governmental organisation looking to protect biodiversity and aiming to cut down on the unnecessary tapping of resources from the environment.

Being the world’s leading conservation organisation, their aim is to reduce human-nature conflict and to put in place measures that can be introduced locally and on a greater scale internationally. There are a few approaches: firstly; they aim to prevent bycatches from fisheries, secondly; bring down the number of excessive harvesting and illegal trade, and last but not the least; protect the ecosystem where the turtles live.
