Not only are the private companies reducing their carbon footprint. Even the policemen are also doing their parts now. Policemen are gradually ditching their cars for bikes to patrol the neighbourhood. Riding a bike is certainly more environmental as no fuel/petrol is needed, thus does not emit any exhaust fumes. Since no petrol is needed, the SPF can save up the petrol money for better use, like upgrading the neighbourhood security system. With portable bikes, policemen are also able to patrol much easily around the lift areas and narrow back alleys where most robbery takes place. Finally, hoping onto the bikes also maintain the physical fitness of our policemen. As seen, the environment, neighbourhood and the policemen can all benefit from this green practice.
