ElefantAsia began their work in 2002 and their debut in Laos – 1,300km Elephant Caravan – drew attention from the public and the media.

ElefantAsia aims to provide alternative jobs for mahouts. They provide elephant welfare and veterinary care for these elephants that are working in the logging industry. They provide free care to maintain both the health and welfare of captive elephants and their owners. Lastly, they strongly believe in educating the global public to raise awareness for these Asian elephants (ElefantAsia, 2015).
