GTAEF is a non-profit organisation founded in 2005 alongside Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp and Resort. They strongly believe in assisting captive elephants so that they can become wild one day.

GTAEF has been working with conservationists to protect these wild elephants and develop projects to aid them to live comfortably in the wild. Moreover, to better understand how to take care of them in captivity and in the wild, research scientists and veterinarians have been engaged to perform ethical and non-invasive research on these Asian Elephants.

GTAEF cooperates with the governments and bigger organisations throughout S.E.A. in hopes of alleviating Asian Elephants’ conditions for the elephants in captivity and in the wild (Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, 2014).
